HERE’S HOW:
Step 1) The wine tastes a bit “off”/lost fruit/oxidized/become unbalanced on the palate (mid-palate) in relation to the basic flavors (sweet, sour, bitter, umami, and/or tactile sensations (astringency, fullness, texture), or aroma complexity in the nose (the attack) and/or in the retro-nasal finish.
Step 2) Add 1-3 drops to your wine glass (start with 1 drop and increase if you’re unsure about the wine’s condition).
Step 3) Swirl the glass to oxygenate the wine and mix/dissolve the drops (this happens quickly). Taste the wine again, and add more drops if necessary for enhanced effect.
BACKGROUND:
The elixir has been developed by meal researcher/sommelier Dr. Crichton-Fock and is one of the innovations generated in the environmental and wine rescue project rewinetheworld. The elixir contains only natural ingredients from Swedish sea, forest, and lake. The concentrated flavor extracts in the elixir have been obtained through simple processes with the aim of minimal climate impact. Traditional methods such as drying, fermenting, and various forms of preservation, which are independent of electricity, have not been used. For preservation in this elixir, organic alcohol is used, among other things, to naturally enhance the flavors and maintain quality through long-lasting preservation.
PACKAGING AND DOSAGE:
Our elixir is supplied in a traditional medicine bottle with a pipette for drop-by-drop dosing. Usually, 1-3 drops are sufficient to enhance the flavor and complexity of a glass of wine. The 35 ml content is estimated to be sufficient for between 300 and 700 glasses of wine depending on personal preference and taste.
